JUMPGA: HIIT. Balance. Yoga. Repeat.

A yoga-inspired rebounding method that blends cardio, balance, and breath—designed to reimagine movement for midlife bodies.

There’s no definitive record of who invented yoga, but most modern disciplines follow principles attributed to Patanjali, an Indian yogic sage from over 2,000 years ago. Yet as Mark Singleton wrote in Yoga Body: The Origins of Modern Posture Practice:

“In spite of the immense popularity of postural yoga worldwide, there is little or no evidence that asana (excepting certain seated postures of meditation) has ever been the primary aspect of any Indian yoga practice tradition.”

JUMPGA rewrites that narrative.

A hybrid of rebounding (mini-trampoline exercise) and yoga, JUMPGA is a completely new movement system. It takes you from ecstatic, high-energy cardio bursts to stillness, symmetry, and Savasana. Designed for midlifers looking to future-proof their bodies—and rehab clients needing joint-friendly movement—it’s also a bridge into yoga for those who’ve never dared try it.

Using the rebounder as a prop is no different from using yoga blocks, belts, or bolsters. As B.K.S. Iyengar put it:

“The body is my temple; the asanas are my prayers.”

And props, he believed, were tools to help the body speak freely.

JUMPGA follows that spirit, with simple, intelligent sequences and a rhythm that reconnects body and breath.

Why JUMPGA Works (According to Science)

Rebounding isn’t just fun—it’s backed by evidence. Here’s what research shows:

Builds Muscle & Endurance
Improves strength in your legs and trunk. You’ll gain endurance and joint stability—ideal for long-term mobility.

Strengthens Bones Without Stressing Joints
Gentle rhythmic impact builds bone without wear and tear—perfect for ageing bodies and injury recovery.

Boosts Balance, Coordination & Cardio
Improves reaction time, posture, and aerobic performance.

Supports Fat Loss & Metabolism
Burns fat, regulates blood sugar, and keeps metabolism high post-workout.

Enhances Lung Function & Reduces Pain
Clinical reports show improved breathing and less pain interference.

⚠️ While JUMPGA is low-impact, correct form matters. That’s why the programme is Yoga Alliance Professionals–recognised and taught in structured progressions.

The JUMPGA Method (with Simple Examples)

  • High Knee Run – Drive knees to waist, fast pace
  • Squat Jump – Deep squat, spring up
  • Star Jumps – Arms and legs shoot out like a star
  • Tantrum – Squat position with rapid arm and leg shake

2. Yoga-Inspired Balance Poses

  • Tree Pose – Stand on one leg, foot on thigh
  • Sun Salutation – Flow through forward bend to plank and up
  • Triangle (Trikonasana) – Reach one hand to shin, other to sky
  • Warrior I–III – Grounded lunges with raised arms or flying body
  • Extended Hand-to-Big-Toe – Stand tall and lift leg with hand or strap

3. Strength & Core Circuits

  • Plank to Side Plank – Core twist and hold
  • Chaturanga – Low push-up, elbows hugged in
  • Bird Dog – On all fours, opposite arm/leg lift
  • Reverse Curl – Lie down, lift hips gently
  • Bridge – Hips up, feet pressing into rebounder

4. Mat-Based Stretch & Recovery

  • Cat-Cow – Arch and round your spine with breath
  • Hip Flexor Stretch – One knee down, other foot forward
  • Reclining Hand-to-Toe – Lie back, extend and stretch hamstring

Two Visual Guides to Get You Started

We’ve included two video routines to help you experience JUMPGA for yourself:

  • 12-minute Quick Burn – Perfect for a morning reset or after-work blast
  • 55-minute Full Immersion – A complete session from warm-up to Savasana

These videos are non-verbal by design—they’re visual guides, not verbal instruction. This allows you to move freely and follow visually, just like traditional yoga demonstrations.

For those who want to fully understand the philosophy, structure, and nuances, we offer live Meta-Age workshops that walk you through everything in detail.
