Watch: The Meta-Age System (2 mins)
Discover the philosophy, questionnaire, anthology, NHS campaign, KunAqua and JUMPGA that make up the Meta-Age framework.
A Midlife Anthology
You don’t need more content. You need less, but deeper.
Twenty-two editions. One reflective framework. No endless scrolling. No optimisation theatre pretending to be wisdom. No performative wellness disguised as health. Just one subject per edition, explored slowly and deliberately. The covers set the mood. The writing does the work.
At the centre of the anthology sits The META-AGE MOT. Like the annual MOT for a car, it is designed to be revisited yearly — not to measure perfection, but to recognise direction. What changed? What drifted? What strengthened? What no longer fits?
Because people evolve constantly. Bodies compensate. Stress accumulates. Priorities shift. Habits harden. Capability changes quietly beneath awareness. Most people never stop long enough to examine the direction they are heading until years have already passed.
The META-AGE MOT exists to interrupt that unconscious drift. Not to judge. Not to perfect. To recognise.
Every year the same document can be revisited because change is the only guarantee in life. The person reading it at forty-five will not be the same person reading it at fifty-five. Nor should they be.
Surrounding The MOT are twenty-two evolving META-AGE editions exploring movement, stress, identity, recovery, purpose, resilience, and the psychological realities people quietly carry through time. These are not traditional fitness magazines. They function more like reflective field notes on modern life itself.
The anthology exists to support awareness. Not performance. Not optimisation theatre. Not passive drift. Awareness of how people move, recover, adapt, behave, and live through time.
Some people will complete one MOT and never return. Others will build a yearly record of the life they are actively creating.
Until then, begin where every Meta-Ager begins.
Complete the Meta-Age Questionnaire and discover whether you recognise yourself in the mindset that inspired the movement.
More than 90% of participants in a Sustain Health straw poll of David Lloyd members over 45 identified with or aspired to the Meta-Ager mindset.
You do not join. You become.
The Meta-Age Anthology (22 editions plus The Meta-Age MOT) is scheduled for publication in August 2026.
